This is such a beautiful story, and still gets me every time after all these years. (It wasn't the first G/B story I read, but it was the first one to really stay with me.) Humour and character in Dax's POV and the senior staff's jammies, poor blushing Julian (and his clavicles). Sisko and Garak and their resolve not to let the personal commotion interfere with business. (Thinking about it, the way Kathryn portrayed Sisko here had a big influence on how I portrayed him in Sanctuary.)
