Actually, I suspect that pause was because he peed. If you look carefully you can see that darker spot forming as I zoom out. Ahem.

I'm not exactly sure what animal he's supposed to be, though. It looks like a cross between a chicken (the color), a bunny (the little fluffy tail on the back), a fox (the ears), a duck (the feet) and a kangaroo (the pouch).
