*sigh*
*chanting: I-am-not-a-horrible-mother. I-am-not-a-horrible-mother. I-am-not-a-horrible-mother. I-am-not-a-horrible-mother. I-am-not-a-horrible-mother.*
Pea has chicken pox. He seems perfectly fine, apart from the spots and blisters. Only real problem is that he's not allowed in daycare until he's no longer contagious. Which could take anything from a few days to a week. I see a long, exhausting week ahead of me, with minimal sleep and considerable stress. I talked to my mother about it. She offered to have him over for a night and after some debate, it turned out that today was best for her schedule. So my sick baby boy is with grandma so I can sleep a little.
*keeps chanting: I-am-not-a-horrible-mother. I-am-not-a-horrible-mother. I-am-not-a-horrible-mother. I-am-not-a-horrible-mother. I-am-not-a-horrible-mother. I-am-not...*

When I decided to try for a baby, I started off getting the shot for Rubella before anything else, just because my mother had a little doubt if I'd had it or not. Better safe than sorry. Wouldn't want to have it as an adult either. It's naaaaasty. And actually, most childhood illnesses can make you infertile if you have them as adults. :oS
Maybe I should go and have Pea rub himself up against some more kids. ;o)
