Blah, blah and more blah.
Just spent most of my day reading a 50.000 word count Merlin fic. It was... cute... kinda... but really, I think I could have spent my time better. It left me feeling a bit 'blah'.
Pea's caretaker is confusing me again... he's finally settled at daycare and happy all the time when he's there, but when I suggested we upped the time to a full day (only a difference of 3½ hours) sometime this week, she nervously remarked that "it was best not forcing things". Forcing what, exactly? Forcing him to play for a bit longer and have one more nap and one more meal there? Oh well. Doesn't matter much to me. I just can't help but wonder if she's lying about how well he's doing there. Paranoid me iz paranoid.
Also, I have weird neighbours... a couple in the building next to ours have a baby a few months younger than Pea. Today when I was picking him up from his nap in the carriage outside, the woman came over and chatted about how big he was and other mommy stuff. She said something along the lines of: "I remember when you brought him home, he was so tiny". This makes me wonder if I'm really going nuts, because I can't remember her ever talking to me until today. So far it has only been exchanging nods when passing with our baby-carriages. But maybe she saw me with him in the sling or something. *shrug*
Speaking of Pea, he makes me SO proud these days! Last night he didn't wake up for his bottle! Could just be a lucky night, but I'm hoping this means he's ready to quit the bottle entirely. We'll see how things turn out.
Since finding out that Alexander Siddig will be joining the cast of Primeval, I have been thinking about watching the show. I watched the pilot today.... and... uhm... I love dinosaurs, I really do, but dang... if I watch this, it will probably not be a show to be taken seriously. First episode was kinda dark in a cheesy horror movie kinda way, but maybe the fun gets better along the way. If it's fun, I'll stick with it.Also, that blonde chick reminds me SO much of the blonde Spice Girl.
Anywho... Despite my unusual level of activity, I'm feeling rather gloomy. Thinking dark shit. Blah.

On a fun note, Abby - the blonde chick - was actually in a British pop band several years ago.

This will pass... you know it will.

Could you let me know the name/author of the 50.000 word Merlin fic that you weren't very fond of? I reallyreally like cute *anything*, if it's not horribly written.

It was ok, but the pace was... odd. I didn't feel like it really ended and it never got my emotions really swinging. It was a little wishy washy.
But maybe you'll like it better. Enjoy!
