fanficrants and apparently my post was nothing short of a mortal sin. We're now in the 80's in number of comments and only about 5 of them have been remotely kind. The rest seem to find it extremely offensive that something I don't know a lot about annoys me. Heck I even asked for advice if anyone knew better than me!
I want to leave, since it's seriously bringing me down that so many people deliberately twist my words and try to make me look bad. But I hate to just leave without defending myself. I'm being stupid aren't I? I bet I'm just feeding their flaming frenzy by replying at all. I should really just leave and leave them to think I'm a stupid bitch. They already seem to think that anyway.
I'm an idiot.
Edit: Ok, I left. I suddenly remembered that it's not just me being affected by this. By stressing out over this, I'm affecting the Green Pea! And I will not allow that to happen to preserve my pride or whatever!
