I drove nothing of my own. Buses, dude.

I was in a relationship with B and it was all cute and happy and... *sigh* those were good times.

I feared that I was never going to graduate college. Oh how simple things were then. (Not that I was wrong to fear such things, as it turns out.)

I worked for a while as a cleaning lady at a daycare and some offices. After that I went to college.

I wanted to be right where I was. Just moved away from home, my first boyfriend by my side, new hobbies, new friends, starting my life at last.

So, I've decided to go ahead and do this 100 Things Challenge. I may or may not end up regretting it, but since there's no deadline, I probably won't stress out over it too much. And since there's no rules for how often to post, I can't even promise any sort of regular updates on it. I may post 3 entries in one day and then nothing for 2 months. We'll just have to wait and see.

My challenge will be: 100 WIPs or plot bunnies of mine, which I hope to finish, or just really like. With a little luck this may actually help me finish a few things too. Hope dies last, after all.

I expect I'll be posting snippets, musings, random plot notes or research plans. Whatever the fic or bunny in question demands.

Because this WIP started off in a whirlwind of typing, reaching 10k in next to no time... and then fizzled horribly. Which is unacceptable. So I shall use this meme to poke at it with the proverbial pointy stick. The original plan was to make it a Sam/Gabriel fic, although the slash seems a long way off still. Also includes Dean/Castiel, but so far mostly cracky. Which is okay. (Also, lol! The section below turned out to be one of the best bits. Win.)

Gabriel was shaking the hand he touched Sam with, as if he really did touch a live wire, and quirked a displeased eyebrow at Dean. “Seriously, would it kill you to ask nicely every once in a while?”

 

“Pretty please, with a fuck you on top?” Dean quipped, his lips tight with annoyance.

 

“You better hope I never take you up on that, handsome,” Gabriel countered. This prompted Castiel into speech.

 

“Gabriel, please,” he said, sounding more like a mother gently scolding a child, than a brother asking for help. It did seem to have the desired effect of cooling the tempers and Gabriel eventually sat down, snapped himself up a candy bar and explained.

 

“Well, kids. It would seem we've hit a bit of a snag with Pestilence.”

 

Dean blinked. “Wait, I thought he was gone.”

 

“He is. If not forever, then at least for the next couple of centuries. But apparently the sucker went out with a bang,” Gabriel replied, unconcerned. When Dean started making impatient hand gestures, Gabriel rolled his eyes and continued. “It would seem his last act in this life was to make me contagious.”

Supernatural:
Actually, if I weren't such a rabid shipper/pervert, I doubt I'd even like this show. I'm not all that into the early seasons. I find them mostly boring and too cheesy. I'm much more invested in the seasons that include the angels. But even so, there is too much gore, all the female characters are killed or treated like shit (or both) and so many of the episodes make me cringe from second-hand embarrassment. That said, the cast is amazing, the actors are really fucking talented and there are some really great episodes, especially in the angel story arcs. So I watch for the slash, basically. And Richard Speight Jr. God, I wish he could come back on the show somehow.

Favorite character:
This is kinda vague, but that's okay, since I really suck at picking just one favorite, even in separate fandoms. But my favorites include: Elim Garak, Data, The Archangel Gabriel, Castiel, Leeroy Jethro Gibbs, Benton Fraser, Merlin, Nightcrawler, Toad, Sherlock Holmes, Elizabeth Bennet, Bruce Wayne/Batman and many more. Clearly, what makes a character a favorite of mine is not a fixed recipe. It can be anything from a pleasing voice to a feeling of kinship or something as shallow as a hot body. (Oh, hi there, Mr. Darcy. Unf.)

Food you can't live without:
In reality, I think I could live without any type of food. My diet has always been changing, sometimes over a period of several years, but I cannot think of a single thing I would miss horribly for very long if I had to go without. I'd probably miss meat an awful lot, but if I could have bread and potatoes, I'm pretty sure I'd get over it. Cola would be rough to give up too, but I've gone long periods without, due to money troubles or just for the heck of it. So I dunno.

If you could live anywhere, were would that be:
I like my country an awful lot, so I doubt I'd ever leave Denmark. But I would very much like to move out of the city, perhaps to an old farm or something, surrounded by fields and open spaces and bright stars. I'd love that. Maybe some day.

Life as a fangirl:
It seems to be the only thing that keeps me from going insane, so I indulge myself as much as I possibly can. When terror grips me and the world outside seems full of danger, it soothes my mind to delve into fanfic or some silly TV show, even if all it does is make me forget the world for a while. Living in a brain constantly in a state of emergency has taught me the value of escapism like nothing else could. I used to see my tendency for diving into fantasy as something undesirable and inconvenient, but as things are now, it's something I truly could not do without.

Merlin: Yeah, it's something like my #2 favorite show ever. Although, this latest season is being... less than satisfying. But there are many episodes yet. IT CAN STILL BE EPIC! And the slash will never stop being awesome. *nods*
Star Trek: I'm a trekkie, no doubt about it. While I do have my favorites, I'm forever in awe over the entire universe and I fervently hope that the future will look like that at least partly. The only real downside is the complete lack of gay characters. And speaking of:
Gay-friendly: Even before I got into slash I was very accepting of gay/queer people. I don't even think I can remember ever having thought there was anything strange about it. When my in-the-closet gay friend asked me in our teens what I thought my mum would say if I told her I was a lesbian, my reaction was something like: "She might be surprised, but she loves me, so she'd accept it". So it may very well be my mum's doing. She's awesome. :o)
Toddlers: Yeah, plural. Because one thing you never really consider when you have a kid is that then you'll have to deal with an incredible amount of OTHER kids. This is both a good and a bad thing. Bad because some kids are just scary, good because the rest are just so damn cute.
Intelligence: Oh wow, I'm flattered. :o) I try very hard to be clever and well-informed, but as time goes by, I see the truth more and more in the proverb that the more you learn, the more you realize how little you know.

1. Fanfiction! Reading it, writing it, anything! Heck, even writing about fanfiction is mazing for me! I'd include regular fiction in this, but nothing gets my juices flowing like fanfic.

2. Flowers! Sadly, I tend to kill the potted kind, but a bouquet will make mo SO happy you have no idea. Wanna court me? Buy me flowers. I'll put out.

3. And speaking of, do you have any idea how many awesome sexual practices start with F? Frottage, fellatio, felching- uhm...I'll just leave that here.

4. Fantasy, the literary genre. Do I even need to explain why? Dragons, baby! DRAGONS! Unicorns, elves, orcs! And while we're on it-

5. Fairies. In any incarnation. From the tiny little Fantasia fairies to the scary and powerful beings from the Dresden Files. Fairies are awesome and if the people using this as a slur knew just how badass these creatures are, I doubt they'd ever throw it at people as a means of insult.

6. Freedom. Freedom to be, to think, to live the way you prefer. I wish we all had freedom. And poo on me for not thinking of this until #6...

8. Family. Despite the occasionally fucked up and disfuctional unit we present, family is so very importent. It's about knowing your roots and seeing parts of yourself in others that you might not find anywhere else. And it's not about blood ties. It's about who you're tied to forever, in any way that may come about.

9. Feathers. Not wings (despite my recent foray into wing-kink). No, just feathers. How they feel, how they look, how they're put together. It's a wonder of nature.

10. Fancy Rats. Meaning, rats meant for pets. As much as I admire the animal in itself for its survuval skills, I do prefer the cuddly kind bred to be cute and companiable.

I would make more of this post, but alas, time has escaped me and it's time for me to pick up my baby. Onwards!
