The Anti-ship meme.
The rules are simple: List 10 popular (or even unpopular... and preferably canon, because it's more evil that way) ships that you just do.not.ship./can.not.ship./will.not.ship. period. It doesn't matter what your reasons are, but tell us why anyway! Because anti-ships deserve as much passion as real ships do!

Apologies in advance to anyone wildly shipping any of my anti-ships. Feel free to do so. Just don't expect me to like it.

01: Julian Bashir and Jadzia Dax. (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine)
Ok, it was cute in the very first episode. Then it just got weird. Bashir obviously only chased her joint ass because she was hot. She drinks black holes for breakfast, she likes Ferengis and Klingons, she's a badass fighter and despises anything cute. I can see none of these things as attracting Bashir. And considering the 'big brains' of his later fling Leeta, I think it's safe to say I find it a complete waste of screen time to put so much effort into a pairing that has nothing but superficial attraction to it. It never caught my fancy.

02: Gabriel van Helsing and Anna Valerious. (Movie: Van Helsing)
I think this one tops them all when it comes to the 'must have a female love interest in the movie, but we fucked it up' phenomenon. She's hot, but that's it. I mean seriously. Van Helsing can have any hottie he wants. Why go for the completely irritating gypsy princess stupid enough to only have one gun with silver bullets while fighting a werewolf and trying to outrun it wearing high heals?? Besides, Carl makes him smile. Anna never did that for him. Watch the movie. I rest my case.

03: Will Riker and Deanna Troi. (Star Trek: The Next Generation.)
It's fine really. Very sweet and romantic and... I just think they've spent enough time and effort on it. It's gotten boring.

04: Anthony DiNozzo and Kate Todd (NCIS)
I'm SO glad she died. They were just so NOT gonna happen. I have never seen a more prudish bitch of a badass bodyguard to the president. I mean, how realistic is it to be guarding the president, and then have time and energy to worry about your skirt gliding up? I mean jeez... My advice to Tony... stick with the Mossad assasain. At least she won't kick you out of bed in the morning to brush your teeth before a morning romp. All I'm sayin...

05: Kitty Pryde and Lance Alvers (X-Men Evolution)
I know, I know. Kitty is so sweet, they had to throw in a bad boy temptation for her somewhere along the line. But gawd, why oh why did you have to keep it up?? Besides, Pietro owns Alvers' ass. Live with it.

06: Harmon Rabb and Alison Krennick. (JAG)
What the heck did they want him to see in that ice bitch from hell???

07: Mohinder Suresh and Eden McCain (Heroes)
Sweet, sweet Mohinder. Don't fall for that tricksy and false hottie of a neighbour just because she feeds you and says she knows your father. And calling that damn lizard by your name should have been your first clue that she didn't give a sod about you. I don't care what they claim in canon, she was a mean bitch.

08: Rogue and Iceman (X-men the movie)
No... just... no... WHY THE HELL WASN'T GAMBIT IN THE MOVIES??? GAH!!

09: Eowyn and Aragorn. (Lord of the Rings)
Don't go there sweetie. He's way WAY too old for you and you have an adorable son of a steward of Gondor practically at your feet. Besides, Arwen will kill you if you try anything...

10. Louis Lane and Lex Luthor. (Various Superman alternative timelines and series)
No matter how much they tell us it's an alternative timeline, or a future or a dream it's just... BAD! I mean yuck!! Louis you cheap skank, get back to your geek! So you're too thick to realize he's a super hero, SO WHAT?? He's still a supremely better catch than a slithering old baldie of a criminal master mind.
