Fanfic quote of the day
Feb. 27th, 2009 09:54 amBashir turned his torso toward Garak and set his forehead against the offered shoulder. He didn’t cry. He didn’t quiver. He just sat there, letting Garak support his weight. Garak held himself as still as possible, the movement of his chest lifting them and releasing them like gentle waves. Bashir’s bowed head was so close. Garak wanted to let his nose nestle into those dark curls, but he kept still. He savored the quiet joy in this moment.

Just a quick (heh) review
Feb. 27th, 2009 11:39 amThis time I'm babbling about Doctor Bashir. I Presume?
( Long one )
A bit of personal update.
Feb. 27th, 2009 07:53 pmFirst of all... the new Midwife! What a gem! She met us with a smile, and I was feeling very poorly, so I forgot all about the urine sample I was supposed to bring. Not even a hint of a frown or irritation, she simply sent me to the loo with a cup to get one with no fuss what so ever.
She talked to Bjarne just as much as she talked to me and she was just so positive about everything! My weight was 'super' my urine was 'perfect', my blood pressure was 'lovely'.
She was honest, but really sweet. Measuring the baby's head and feeling around my belly, not complaining at all about the extra padding and simply worked around it. She let us listen to the baby's heart for a good long few minutes, for no reason but the joy of it and she smiled right along with us as the little heart thumped away, and giggled just as happily as I did when the baby kicked the 'microphone' with a loud 'thonk!'. Aaawww.
She guessed baby's weight at about 1300 grams. A big, beautiful baby, certainly growing well. The only thing not looking perfect was the measurement of my uterus, but she was honest and explained that 'since there was a bit extra of mommy' that was probably nothing to worry about, and it wasn't even that far off normal.
All in all, I'm just so happy and relieved. I will have no worries what so ever calling this angel when I go into labor. :oD
Secondly, we are now through season 5 of DS9. I'm way behind with reviews, but damn, I'm enjoying every episode SO much.
And now it's the weekend! We just got our money, so we bought some snacks, ordered some takeout and are planning to start off Season 6 and enjoy each other's company. Ahhh. Life can certainly be good.
