Turns out Emma (Who has turned 4, btw, as I was strictly informed! "Oh, you're 4?" "Yes I am, silly!) was having a bad reaction to some make-up. She was a bit upset this morning, because her mother had taken it away, when she had put more on. I got up close to her and asked her what had happened, and it was indeed just make-up, as the glittery smear on my finger could testify.
Still not a happy situation with the daddy, but at least now he's just angry and possibly has a drinking problem. Thank god there was no abuse!
