I'm a lame person who didn't watch more than a couple of seasons of TNG, so the only Remans I've seen were on Cowntdown, and they looked really like that little rock dude. The art wasn't that great, but the backgrounds (and exploding stars) were awesome. They killed Worf though, and I cannot accept that he was killed by a freaking Romulan.
That movie really doesn't go into the canon, I just see it as more of a stand-alone piece in the Star Trek universe. It's like the mirror universe, only with Spock Prime.
All in all, the TNG movies weren't such a great part of the franchise, they ruined the Borg and made them Voyager-esque.
