Phew, I'm falling behind in my reviews! In this post I think I'll limit myself to For the Uniform, In Purgatory's Shadow and By Inferno's Light. I'll probably go completely bonkers over the last two, since they are some of the most significant Garak episodes and excellent fodder for my G/B lust!
For the Uniform:
Eddington is turning out to be a more interesting bad guy than I originally thought. And actually quite cunning. I find I like him the same way that I like Winn and Tain even though they creep me out.
And daaaaaaaymn! That is one heck of a virus! Wiping everything! Phew. I'm starting to see why the Maquis are considered so dangerous. They do have some amazing gadgets.
Somehow I get the feeling that the holographic communicator thingy is O'Brien's pet project more than anything else. I can't see Starfleet giving that much effort to what is basically a luxury during a hunt for one of the most dangerous men in the Alpha Quadrant.
Nog! Yay! I knew he would go places. He's got the lobes for it!
Fascinating to see how they would run a ship with half the automated processes gone. Very nice.
Les Miserables! Cool. Very Eddington indeed. Of course he sees himself as the wronged hero in this.
Mwahaha. Sisko choosing to be the bad guy. I like it when starfleet captains decide to go hardball. It was a gamble all right, but I'm sure starfleet command will forgive him when he delivers Eddington as a reward for his efforts. ;o)
In Purgatory's Shadow:
GARAK!!! *struggles to keep squee contained*
"We 'do' have an expert in Cardassian codes living on the station..." Hehe, Odo doesn't like the idea but he's got no choice. Hehehehe.
Garak.. *sigh* Not his best outfit, but hehe, he's in excellent form! "That's the look exactly!" ROFL!
Giving up... hehe, I immediately think back to Our Man Bashir. He likes to give out that empression that he's a quitter. But we know better. You won't fool us Garak!
Cardassian laundry lists! *snicker*
Cardassian hand greeting! Wooo!
"He has his moments!" Oh doctor... if only it wasn't the changeling doctor.
"Going somewhere?" Garak looks so proud that the doctor caught him in the act! G/B bunnies are violently amorous...
And a change of clothes! Yay. I don't like that curry yellow thing. This outfit seems a little odd in the sleeves, but damn it makes him look so slender and slithering. *drools*
Oh the eye sex over that phaser....
Garak's voice is so hypnotizing. And he's so sure Bashir will come with him! Oh poor Garak, so disappointed.
Even Sisko can't ignore that voice. But he won't let the doctor come along. He knows Garak has the hots for the sweet doc. :oP No little trip for the lovebirds. I think Sisko knows that days alone on a runabout might just ensure Garak success with whatever he wants to do with the lovely young man.
Jadzia! Oh you are so beautifully cruel! Holding Worf's operas hostage! Mwahahaha!
Ziyal... *sigh* You really are digustingly direct. You make poor Garak uncomfortable. Appreciate his company, but damn, accept that he just doesn't like you that way. Personally I think he's much more nice to her than he would be if he had any other kind of cardassian company.
And Dukat's daughter no less.
Speaking of Dukat. You really should have seen that coming, you know. And trying to kill Garak in Quark's won't exactly help.
"You know, I think that actually helped my back!" "You do have a lovely daughter. She must take after her mother." If I didn't know any better, I would think Garak was flirting with Dukat. Actually, he might be, just to make Dukat really uncomfortable! Mwahaha!
Oh Worf... "At the first sign of treachery, I will kill him. But I promise to return the body intact." LOL!
Garak, Garak, Garak... Worf is a really tempting target, but remember you need to spend days in a runabout with the man. Don't piss him off too much... no matter how fun it is to spin him lies.
"Mr. Worf, you're no fun at all." Really, Garak, are you surprised?
Yay for Kira not trying to control Ziyal and her love life! After her fit over Garak at first, I would think she wouldn't be so open about it. But then again, anything that pisses off Dukat is pure fun for Kira. :oP
Poor Earl Grey if Garak ever got his hands on him...
Worf is apperently not immune to that voice either!
Pweddy purple nebula...
Yeikes! Domnion mega fleet!
Poor Garak... he's always getting knocked out! Maybe it's his big mouth. Jem'Hadar are apparently no fun either.
Perfect place for a prison camp. Very effectively keeping people in.
General Martok! I really love that guy!
Evil Tain! You ungrateful son of a vole! You called for Garak and he came! Is it so hard to express just a little gratitude?! *mumble grumble*
I wanna hug poor Garak so badly. :o(
DRAMA MOMENT!!
SCRUFFY!BASHIR!! *drooooools* LOL for changeling Bashir's evil!smile. Hehehe.
Oh Garak. So hurt by Tain that he doesn't even try to hide it from the doctor. Aw. He doesn't even notice how happy Bashir is to see him.
And here it is... the crucial moment all we G/B shippers love and adore. The moment Garak allows Bashir to see a real glimpse of his life and his secrets. *sigh* Letting Bashir see Tains last moments is just so monumental! Poor poor Garak. So cold and yet so hopeful in Tain's last minutes... practically begging the man for just a little recognition. *sooob*!
Garak's eyes by that deathbed seriously makes me want to cry. And Bashir so obviously feeling for Garak. Aw man. So much emotion between them!
By Inferno's Light:
Oooooh, Dukat! Scheming bastard! Ya gotta love him, even though he more or less dooms his own homeworld.
I have to agree with xiilnek's theory about cardassian flexible fat... no way Tain could fit into that crawlspace.
"My dear mr. Garak..." *Siiiiiiiiiigh*
I love the meaningful look from Bashir when the cardassians are told they are free.
And oh my, that vorta is almost as slimy as Weyoun...
Garak must be stressed already if he says flat out that he was once in the order. But yay for Bashir being so anxious for him!
Romulan prison chick looks a little... odd... starved maybe?
Yay for Worf fighting. I love it when we get to see how hardcore he is in fist fights!
"That was thoroughly unpleasant!" Gawd, poor Garak. So stressed out that he's even having trouble lying. Even Bashir could see straight away that it was more than just a little heat affecting him.
I know I've said this before, but damn Gowron has scary eyes!
Garak talking to the lamp and himself... god that scene is so intense. Andrew Robinson... you are a god of acting!!!
Finally cracking... oh man. I can hardly imagine the hell it takes to make him lose it like that.
Aw, Bashir holding Garak's shoulders as he guides him out.
Poor Garak on the bed. His eyes look like he's in agony... and he probably is. :o( Wanna hug him so badly.
"After all, a verse about the cardassian who panicked in the face of danger would ruin general Martok's song." Disciplined mind! Oh yeah!
"Now, if you'll excuse me... my dungeon awaits." Even the Klingons can see how big balls he has. But oh, the fear in his eyes is so obvious! And when Garak wears his emotions on his face, we know the world is upside down.
Hehe, my favorite moment with Ziyal so far. She's young but not naïve. "For all we know, the Vorta might be gluttonous, alcoholic, sex maniacs." LOL!
Garak talking to dead Tain in the crawlspace. And Bashir hardly able to sit still with worry. G/B heavy stuff here! Garak controlling his breathing... disciplined mind!!!
Oooh, Bashir being snarky with the guard. Love it! Must be the scruffiness making him reckless. :oP
Oy! Never trust a Breen! Those Romulans might have a point...
Jem'Hadar with honor... who could have known? Even the Vorta is shocked.
LOL for the absolutely last possible moment of miraculous rescue! If I didn't love the episode so, I probably would groan a little at the cliché. But fuck it, Garak saves the day!!! *happy Dance!!!*
Worf praising Garak... damn. Nobody saw that coming!
Changeling!Bashir! Ooooooh. Mad bomber! Kamikaze! Eeeek! *flailing with excitement*
Ziyal kissing Garak. Sorry, but... *gag* At least he looks almost as uncomfortable as I feel... albeit a little flattered. But hey, who can blame him? A little worship might be just what he needed after his ordeal.
"For one thing, he was much easier to get a long with." Miles, you are a cruel man sometimes. But we all love you. :o)
All in all..... SQUEEEEEEE!!!!!! I've seen clips of these two episodes and read about them on memory alpha, but seeing them in their entirety is just AWESOME!!! And the G/B content! The eyes! The touches! The tone of voice! The secrets and truths, the fear and respect. ARGH! So much good stuff!!!
