Garak entered the infirmary with a wicked grin on his face.

“Hello, my dear. Care to join me for dinner?”

Julian sent the tailor an apologetic smile.

“I'm sorry, Elim, I can't. I have to be here when the Lissepian envoy arrives to prepare for the medical conference.”

Smiling even wider, Garak said:

“Ah, I'm afraid the Lissepians will not arrive until tomorrow. Apparently they've found evidence of a plot against the envoy.”

Julian quirked an eyebrow.

“Indeed?”

Garak simply smiled innocently.

Sighing, Julian shook his head at his lover.

“I love you, Elim, but you're a devious bastard sometimes.”

“My dear, I can't believe you have the nerve to claim you did all the work to get us together!”

Julian poked his lover in the ribs beside him on the couch.

“Oh?! Who exactly invited who to dinner?”

Garak huffed wryly.

“And exactly how many excruciatingly obvious hints did it take to get us there?”

He didn't even have to look to know that Julian was blushing.

“Let's change the subject.”

Pouncing on the red-faced doctor, Garak smirked.

“Oh no, I find that I rather like this subject!”

Julian silenced his lover the only way he knew how.

Summary: Drabble (100 words). Julian has a really bad day.

Garak heard the heavy sigh even before Julian was through the front door. Hearing the boots and uniform drop carelessly to the floor on his way to the bedroom only confirmed Garak's suspicion. It had been a very bad day.

He put away the padd he had been reading and looked up to see Julian shed his last clothes and crawl into bed. He didn't even ask. He knew when Julian came home like this, it meant he had lost a patient. And as always, Garak did the only thing he could.

He opened his arms and held Julian tight.

Summary: Drabble (100 words). Julian has to get up.

[Bleep] “The time is 0600 hours.” [Bleep] “The time is-”

“Computer, stop alarm.”

Julian was about to sit up in bed, when he realized he couldn't. A strong arm was wrapped around his chest, effectively preventing any attempt Julian made of getting up.

Stroking the hand clutching him he murmured:

“Elim... I have to get up. You have to let go.”

The only reaction from his bedmate was a quiet groan and tightening of the arm around him.

Sighing, Julian gave up his attempt and slumped back in bed with a wry smile.

“Computer, alert me again in fifteen minutes.”

Summary: Drabble (100 words). Garak's back hurts.

Garak winced as he sat down on the bed.

“Your back again?”

Julian's needless question made Garak sigh and nod. Taking off the his clothes and laying down next to his young lover, he let himself be coaxed onto his stomach and immediately relaxed as the skilled surgeon's hands applied pressure to just the right spots.

“Better?”

Garak groaned.

“Yes, much. Oh, it feels like my back is a hundred years old.”

Julian smirked.

“There was nothing old about it last night.”

Recognizing and appreciating the flattery, Garak replied with his usual teasing:

“Why do you think it hurts today?”

Summary: Drabble (100 words) about Julian being late.

“Sisko's going to kill me!”

Handing Julian a comb and plucking the empty cup of tea from the doctor's fingers, Garak protested mildly:

“He will not. You're not the first person to be late for his tedious staff meetings.”

Combing his hair frantically and toeing on a boot at the same time, Julian hissed:

“But he will definitely deliver his fatherly sermon about keeping time.”

Catching the comb flying towards him, Garak smirked:

“Well, I do hope this morning's pleasures make up for that.”

His only reply was a snort and a quick kiss before the door closed behind Julian.

Summary: Drabble (100 words) about a cuddle on the couch (duh).

Garak was reclining in the corner of the sofa, his back against the irresistible warmth his human lover offered. Squirming a little to get as close as possible he finally settled down with a contented sigh, which earned him a soft chuckle from the doctor.

“What's so funny?”

Julian stroked the raven hair under his chin.

“Oh, I'm just surprised, that's all. I never knew Cardassians were so... cuddly.”

A swat to his thigh silenced his chuckle, but a grin remained on his face.

“Either way...no complaints I trust?

Julian hugged Garak just a little closer to him.

“Never.”

Summary: Drabble (100 words) about a much needed cup of tea.

He was getting nowhere. The data on this flu strain went on for pages and pages yet on the screen.

Julian rubbed his eyes and groaned. As he removed his hands from his face, he spotted a mug of tarkalean tea that had suddenly appeared next to him and Garak moving back to the couch with his novel.

As the Cardassian sat down Julian murmered a sincere:

“Thank you.”

The only reply was a soft look and the hint of a smile over the edge of the reader.

With a grateful sigh Julian sipped the tea and resumed his reading.

Garak looked up from the seam he was adjusting, to see the doctor bouncing into the tailor shop.

“Julian, what are you doing here? I thought you had three more hours left in the inf-”

He was cut off by soft lips crashing into his own over the cutting table. Before he decided if he should object or just enjoy it, the kiss ended and his lover practically ran out of the shop again.

Watching Julian making his way back across the promenade to the infirmary, Garak shook his head and murmured to himself:

“Humans...”

But he couldn't help smiling.

“You like the blue shirt, right?"

Garak stopped combing his hair and sighed inaudibly.

“Yes, but why ask, if you refuse to let me help you pick something out?”

Julian's voice was muffled by the closet he was rummaging through.

“I want to pick out my own clothes. I know my taste is horrible, but it's a matter of pride!”

Emerging from the closet wearing the blue shirt, Julian smiled sweetly at the Cardassian.

“Although, my pride aside, I still want to wear something you like when we go out.”

Garak returned the smile.

“There's hope for your taste yet.”

So, it's time for my very first drabble, and since it's something quickly done, I hope to eliminate some of my smaller bunnies this way.

About this drabble: I have this insane need to write Garak and Bashir in completely down to earth couple-scenarios. Because there seems to be so little of it in general. There is plenty of dramatic love stories and more than a few fics about them driving each other nuts in their nuptual 'bliss'. What I really need to see are some glimpses into a relationship. Some of those private moments we all have with our loved ones, without needing to make a big event out of it. So I hope to make a series of drabbles, to expand on this idea. And here is the first.
