You Are Cordially Invited.
The wedding episode! I can't tell you how much I've looked forward to this, despite the sad lack of Garak.
Aw, Sisko and Kira are both so happy that the Fedration is back on DS9. "Have I mentioned that it's good to be home?" Oh I'll bet. Only a few hundred times.
Martok! Supreme Commander of the Ninth fleet! And he's just so annoyed! "Do you have any idea how much paperwork a supreme commander has to do?" *growl* Poor Martok. Hehe.
The way Martok goes on about Worf, you get the impression he's quite chatty with him. Worf? Chatty?? It's a little unreal.
Aw Martok is so... diplomatic about the way he describes Alexander. "He's not the best soldier I've seen." Jeez. Understatement of the decade!
Aw, cute cute Alexander. So accepting of his role of good luck charm. I'm not so sure I would be. Hey... I just noticed it's the first time I've called a klingon 'cute'. And I suspect Alexander might one of the few klingons who wouldn't kill me for it!
"Handsome young man. He must get his looks from his mother." Gee Quark, you sure know how to smooth up Worf before trying to convince him to have his wedding in your bar. Lucky for you Alexander got new orders so Jadzia would reschedule the wedding.
D'aaww, best man Alexander. He's such a clutz, but he's freakin adorable!
Jadzia talking to Kira about misty-eyed Worf. 'Misty-eyed'??? Worf???? I swear, it's getting more and more unreal. But it just confirms my suspicion that he's a softie deep down.
LOL! Odo zooming off to one side when he sees Kira. "Is it my imagination or is Odo just trying to avoid us?" "I didn't notice." Aw smooth Kira. Very smooth.
Poor Jadzia... Kira won't tell her what went on with Odo. She'll just have to speculate or press Quark for details. And she will. Oh yes... she will.
D'aaawwwww. Bashir and O'Brien going all smirky and giggly over the wedding. "There's nothign more romantic than a wedding on DS9 in springtime." "When the neutrinos are in bloom." Worf is not amused. Hehehehe.
Martok makes this bachelor-party-ritual sound so good... but why do I get the feeling people are going to be very disappointed? (The fact that I've seen the episode before does nothing to dull my excitement.
Martok mentions his wife! Now I just can't wait to see her! And I'm certainly not disappointed! I can't help but agree with Martok. She's magnificent! A harpy... but magnificent!
"I thought you would be in your grave by now." "I shall endevour to die this year, if possible." I suppose this is klingon for 'I've missed you too dear.'. Ahem.
Despite the fact that Martok seems completely under foot with his wife, I can't help but go all gooey over the way he nearly swoons as she walks by. Now that's love, people!
Oooh, I don't think Jadzia is quite prepared for Sirella. She takes it all very lightly... If she thinks Worf is picky about the rituals, she hasn't seen anything yet!
Oy... sparks flying between Sirella and Jadzia. This is gonna get ugly.
LOL! This whole conversation between Worf and Martok about Sirella is just priceless! I'm tempted to transcipt the whole thing! But I guess I'll have to restrain myself.
"We are klingons, Worf! We don't embrace other cultures, we conquer them!" Nice bit of insight into klingon ideals.
"You should say THAT to Sirella!" *pause* "That's... not such a good idea... I don't want her to think that I'm interfering in her domain."
"Perhaps I should speak with her. Coming from me, it would not seem like a challenge to her authority." "I wouldn't do that, if I were you." Eeek... under foot much, General?
Oh Martok!! "And they say you have no sense of humor!!" Worf is NOT amused!
Hmm. About this bachelor-party ritual... it just ocurred to me... why didn't worf ask Odo? They do seem to have a connection of some sort. Maybe he doesn't think the rituals would have the right effect on someone who doesn't eat, bleed or sleep like humanoids do. And... he probably can't even be sure that Odo would qualify as a 'male friend'.
"There IS going to be a party, isn't there?" "You're asking 'me'? I can barely say my name in klingon." At this point I'm stuck between laughter and 'aaawww'.
... A journey you won't soon forget. You got that right Martok.
4 day faste. Poor guys. Blood, pain, sacrifice, anguish and death. "Sounds like marriage all right..." "What do 'you' know?!" Bashir and O'Brien. Huggles them!
Oh Quark... I'm sure he has more than just a few betting pool going on what exactly people think are going on at the 'klingon bachelor party'. Oh dear. I think the house is gonna win on this one.
Poor Alexander... passed out. He really isn't much of a klingon. "...Grandma?" LOL! Realistically though, I would have thought he would be speaking russian (or whatever their language is) with them. With all the accents flying around, I refuse to believe that english is the daily language all over earth.
"If you wish to quit no one will think any less of you." Ooooh. That's a challenge they just will not let down. Poor guys. I feel for them.
Worf and Martok singing! With 2 different tones! (No idea what the english term is). And it sounds awesome!
Sirella is really a hag. But I can't help but love her! She confirms the rumor that klingon women are more frightening than the men!
Oh Jadzia... challenging Sirella's history. No... good...
Poor Julian. Nodding off and missing the call for who would go first in the trial of blood. And Worf is just not helping. He looks scary with that sword-lenght dagger. Eeeek.
Woooo! Jadzia REALLY knows how to throw a party! Dance people! Woooo! It's just so much fun watching all those aliens boogying! Yay!
Quark calling Worf a 'walking frown'. Hehe. Jealous much, Quark? Even Jake catches on!
Miles and Julian hanging from that rope! It's just such an amazing scene!! "Kill Worf... kill Worf.... kill Worf..." *clutching ribs with laughter*
Back to Jadzia's party. Woooo! Nog's bounching and hissing dance is just TOO FUNNY!!
Odo showing up with complaints about the noise. Hehe. And Kira snagging him for that 'talk'. I get all sorts of naughty ideas, but I bet I'll be disappointed...
Naughty Jadzia! Crawling all over mr. muscles. Not that I blame her... but... naughty! And uh oh... mum in law barging in. That's not good in any part of the universe!
Eeeek! Bad show down! Punching mum in law is also bad bad bad....
LOL! Next day! Hangover time!!! Poor Jadzia... And LOL! Mr. Muscles and Morn popping up from behind the couch! My slashy mind can't help but conjure up disturbing images...
ROFL!!! Mr. Muscles running into Worf! He can make some really big eyes!
Poor hung over Jadzia arguing with Worf. And finding Odo and Kira chatting away in her bathroom! Awesome!!!
Aw Worf! Calling off the wedding! You meanie!!!!
And Bashir and O'Brien doing the only thing they've wanted to do for days... Eat! Too bad they get SO close just to have it snatched away again. I feel for them.
Yay for Martok talking some sense into Worf! I love Martok.
"She is nothing like the woman I thought I would marry." "We are not accorded the luxury of choosing the women we fall in love with." *Huggles Martok, if he'll let me*
Martok almost makes me cry when he talks about Sirella that way. "She is a prideful, arrogant, mercurial woman, who shares my bed far too infrequently for my taste. And yet... I love her deeply." *fetches tissues*
Poor poor Bashir and O'Brien. Wedding's back on. Or off... Confusing. Good thing Sisko goes to have a little chat with her.
I get the feeling the Dax symbiont has a bigger role in the wildness of its hosts than you'd think. It can't be a coincidence that all of them have been so... un-trill really.
Beautiful tale of the klingon wedding ritual. Sirella is indeed a performer.
Maybe I'm just a perv, but I can't help but love those clevage openings in the klingon dresses. Very tantalizing...
LOL! Bashir so eager to smack Worf! I bet that was satisfying for all. :oD
Another pure feel-good episode!
