Baby worry and no poop.

Oh man, I'm tired.

Pea has been having tummy pains all day and has only been remotely happy when being rocked vigoroously on either mine or hubby's arm. He has been able to sleep, but only in our arms. The second we put him down, he wakes up again with a wail. My arms are shaking and I pray to god he can sleep at night like he always does, even with his tummy this bad. We have an appointment with the health visitor the day after tomorrow and a doctor's appointment next week, but I really don't think we can wait that long. I'm worried something is really wrong with Pea.

He doesn't poop. We got some meds for it, but after 3 days, still nothing! And he cries so much from the stomach cramps that it makes my heart bleed. Being bottle fed, he's supposed to poop at LEAST once a day, but no. Every 3-4 days or so, he explodes with much more than his diaper can hold over 15 mins or so, and then for another 3-days, nothing again. It really worries me.

And on top of that, he suddenly got this rash around his neck, spiking down to his chest.

So all in all I'm just about good and ready for a visit to the doctor. Poor poor Pea. :o(

Might prune juice help a bit? That helps you poop.

We went to the emergency doc and he perscribed some wonder-drug. Of course now Pea has fallen asleep finally, so we'll give it to him when he wakes up.

Fingers crossed that our poor little boy will have a more quiet day tomorrow.

Oh, poor thing. I had the same problem a few times myself and that is truly very, very painful.
Not to mention dangerous, all those toxins.

I used nothing if I recall correctly, I just endured (and sort of massaged my stomach a bit, trying to move things and air along). I also ate more digestible food later on.

ok i know you went to the dr... but.. and this is just my two cents... sometimes the formula has too much iron in it.. causes constipation and seroius cramps.... just a thought.

Could be, except for the fact that when Pea finally does poop, it's very very soft. And as far as I know, iron has the opposite effect.

Oh, poor baby! I'm sorry all of you had such a bad time, but very happy for magical medicine :)
