The sight that greeted him nearly left him breathless. He had never seen Garak like this; never thought he ever would. Naked, exposed, and almost unbearably beautiful. Why did it take him so long to see that?

From Meditations on a Crimson Shadow by J.A Ingram.

(Gawd this was a hard one to pick out. So many perfect moments in this fic. I will have to requote it a few hundred more times.)

Went to the doctor and all was well with the baby. So that's good. Heard the heart again. I never have enough of hearing that, even though I can feel it kicking non-stop every day.

The bus ride home was interesting.

Saw 2 young guys sitting so closely together and practically snuggling in the bus that my mind went into completely slashy overdrive. *sigh* I may be corrupted but oh, the wonderful daydreams...

Across from me there was this couple where the girl kept talking non-stop for like 30 mins about some horrendous shopping trip with her family. Her boyfriend apparently has perfected the art of nodding and offering single-word responses, as she hardly ever stopped to draw breath. Just before my stop, she concluded her tale with something along the lines of: "Gawd, they're just, like, such a bunch of hobos, all of them!" And beautifully, her bf jumped in with agreeing heartily that they were all assholes. It earned him a glowing smile. That, my friends, is how you get nookie. Hehehe.

Baby stuff: Now we're only one week away from having a perfectly viable baby. Meaning that if I should go into labour in a week, the baby wouldn't be considered premature. And that's a big comfort for me, because apparently the greatest risk of being an overweight mom is premature labour. Of course being a first time mom also means that I could easily go past the due date. But at least then I would know that premature worries are a thing of the past.

Green Pea is spending most of its time upside down now, so we're slowly preparing for delivery. I'm so excited about that I can hardly express it! I read a lot about the birth, I got the phone numbers to everybody ready on the fridge and we just need to set up the crib and pack the bag. Then all we have to do is wait. The suspense is killing me!

Title: Bath Time.
Series: Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
Pairings: Garak/Bashir.
Rating: PG
Beta: Not for this one.
Feedback: Yes please.
Disclaimer: I don't own anything. Some geezers in the movie and television industries do. Damn them.
Summary: Drabble (100 words). A bath tub moment.

“Is this a Human thing?”

Julian's hands stopped their soapy massage of Garak's scalp.

“Hm? I don't know. Don't Cardassians wash each other?”

Garak shrugged between Julian's knees.

“Not like this. Usually only with children or for ritual purposes. Never just for cleaning.”

Long, wet arms closed around Garak's chest from behind and he gladly leaned back into the embrace.

“It's not just a matter of cleaning. It's a gesture of affection. And trust.”

A huff of amused disbelief rippled the water in the tub.

“It's always about trust with you people...”

Julian smiled slyly.

“And don't you forget it...”
