This and that...

Hubby and Pea were laughing their heads off earlier. That's what I call idyllic family. Aww. Made me all warm and fuzzy inside.
I was having a rather good day, but one asshole of a bus driver screwed that up for me when we went shopping. We have this rule in Denmark that the empty space in busses is to be occupied by no more than 2 vehicles. Walker/wheelchair/babycarriage etc. The bus drivers are supposed to enforce this, and usually they do. This one didn't. As a result, I decided to exit the bus 15 mins walk from our stop, just to avoid the anxiety nightmare that was 3 babycarriages in an already full bus. And just to rub it in, the mum with that 3rd carriage was getting off the same place as us and didn't blink an eye when we passed her half an hour later, when she was apparently done with what she had to do and we were just getting started. Bitch.
But hubby was an angel about it. His reaction to my grumbling about bus drivers and babycarriages was: "Don't worry, honey. I'll buy you some chocolate... or a sandwich." It made me laugh. He's such a sweetie. I'm sure he'd buy me a mountain of chocolate if it would make me feel better. The offer itself was what ultimately made me feel better, though.
My recent G/B fic was going well, but then I realized that I screwed up the beginning of the fic. So now I'm doing jigsaws, trying to make things happen in the right order and make sure the buildup is written right. I know what I want in there, I just wrote it in the wrong places. But at least it seems like Pea is a really good sleeper today, so there's hope I might be back on track shortly. :o)
And extra bonus: Tonight, hubby is making roast! Mmmm. Red wine sauce and roast potatoes. Mmmmm.

Date: 2009-09-13 01:43 am (UTC)I'm also having fic problems. I got some Merlin bunnies (whether from you or somewhere else I'm not sure) so that I have four fics in various states of completion, one I started a long while back, and the ones that are closest to finished no longer interest me. ADD? Why do you ask?
