fannish5 .
If you could erase five characters from any fandom, who would you choose?
1: Princess Anna Valerius from Van Helsing.
She is a clear cut example of the apparently unavoidable female love interest, in an otherwise great movie, that could do very well without.
2. Kara from Dragonheart.
Basically same deal as #1 here.
3. Ezri Dax from Star Trek Deep Space 9.
Whoever thought it was such a great idea to bring in a new character to what everybody knew was the last season of a show, should really get a good kick in the rear. Way too many episodes were wasted on developing a character that we totally didn't need.
4. Batgirl from Batman and Robin.
As if the movie wasn't bad enough, this batgirl was just the icing on the digusting cake. Not to mention they screwed over the comic background of her completely!! With her gone, there would be one less thing for me to groan about in that movie.
5. I'm determied to have at least 1 male character on this list, so # 5 goes to Sandman from Spiderman 3.
It's like they didn't think 2 problems was enough for Spiderman! Honestly, that movie could have been so much better if the screentime had gone to Harry!Goblin and Venom! Yes please!

Date: 2009-10-17 01:09 am (UTC)Most of them were girls, yes, but there is a reason for that. Since pretty much everything's already been written already at some point it's impossible to avoid cliches, but I feel female characters get hit particularly hard with that. A woman as a main character? Bound to be the love interest. Etc. *sighs*
