Fannish musings and... the weather!

First of all... IT'S SNOWING!! LIKE MAD! It's a real winter wonderland outside and I just LOVE LOVE LOVE it! If it lasts until christmas eve, it'll be a miracle of epic proportions, but one can always hope, right?

Fannish stuff...

Thing is, I can't ship in the HP universe. Even fanfic creeps me out a little. I've looked at a little fanart and Remus/Sirius I admit is rather lovely. BUT! A few days ago, Prisoner of Azkaban was on TV and... well... I think I kinda ship a few people in it. And then it hit me! I don't connect the movies with the books a lot. Mostly I'm offended by the way things are portrayed in the movies, and I had basically decided not to watch them anymore after Goblet of Fire. So technically I could go along happily shipping the movieverse HP and then keep the books on my shelf, blessedly undisturbed.

So I guess the bottom line now is... I think I ship Remus/Sirius... hard. (And of course, Dumbledore/Grindlewald. How can you NOT?)

I feel like a bit of a hypocrite... maybe I should make a fandom secret about it...

OMG!!! I love you!

I love Remus/Sirius. They were my first ship in the HP universe. And oddly it was the film that made me ship them. The way Sirius embraced Remus before he turned into a werewolf did it ;-)

I think you might be on to something. I never really thought about it but I think I also ship in the movieverse.

But then again, I don't think after all the fanfiction I've read I'll be ever able to read HP with innocent eyes :-(

If you're sirius (;-)) about Remus/Sirius you should definitely check out remuslives23! She writes the most amazing Remus/Sirius stories.

Oh, I just totally fangirled, didn't I? But you'll forgive me, right, since it's Christmas ...

Remus/Sirius OTP! I can ship the books, but the stories pairing a professor with a student just creep me out. And you got snow! Lucky! We've gotten hail like twice in 20 years. The last time I saw snow was when we went up to Flagstaff a couple years after we moved here, and even then it was frozen, so it's not like you could do anything with it.

They are pretty much my only HP ships :D (aside from unrequited Lily/Snape). I just can't involve myself when it comes to the kids...which isn't because I have a problem with their age or anything, it's just because I'm not interested in them in the slightest. I might've been tempted by Luna/Neville but the epilogue kinda killed any interest that might have been lurking.

I loathe Sirius as a character in much the same way that I loathe James Potter as a character. But I love Remus, and I'm all about what makes the characters I love happy. Sirius seems to have done that, so I do ship them a little bit. And I really disliked the PoA movie when it first came out, but when I re-watched it, it really grew on me.

I've been wanting to read Dumbles/Grindlewald for awhile, but haven't stumbled across any, and you've piqued my interest again!
