Podcast rant (warning: the F-word!)

Ok, let me just say this...

GAH!!

Ok, phew. Needed that. Working on recording Cardassian Courtship as a podfic and  IT. IS. HARD!!

Making peace was nice and short. 15 mins and it was done. Today I read for an HOUR and I'm not even halfway done!! But then again, all the times I was reading and fucked it up had to be fixed. That took a while too.

" What if Garak had seen it as favorable responslseshhes*slobber* to his advanchesleses*drool*"  Goddamnit! *delete*. Again...
" What if Gark had seen it sss favorababble responslses to his avalanches"... oh for fuck's sake... *delete*

Why the hell do I have to use such fucking long and complicated words??!! It looks so good on paper, but it SUCKS reading it out loud. Especially since my english is a mish-mash of school british, Dynasty on tv as a kid and currently influenced a little too much from watching Eddie Izzard. (Hence, the: for fuck's sake)

Thank God our money arrives today, so I can go buy myself a big, greasy kebab and pig out as a reward for not throwing my PC out the window.

Oh yeah, I'm in a bit of an Izzard frenzy right now. And yes, he does have great legs, but the shoes do half the work.

I'm sure it will all work out when I'm over these moodswings. ;o)

Reading out loud and having it sound good is *hard.* Not even every professional actor is good at narrations or audio-books. I'm amazed at how good Jim Dale is -- he's the guy that read all the Harry Potter books for the CDs/audiobooks.

I'm jealous of your big, greasy kebab. [drools] With the cold weather, I'm currently craving Indian food... gimmie me something hot with a great, just-right-spicy sauce over rice. Mmmmm.

I never actually got my kebab *snif*. Hubby craved McDonalds and I was hungry enough not to argue. The only thing I really like in there is their McChicken.

I must admit, I've decided not to fix a few stutterings and fumbles here and there. As long as the meaning comes through, I'm not gonna be fussed about it really. Or I'll never finish. I'm a little curious to see how I'll handle the sex scenes. I've never actually read my smut aloud.

And it's actually quite hard on the voice! I never would have thought just reading aloud for an hour could make you hoarse! I think I'll read shorter bits for the last part.
