ladydraceAfter a week of basically lazing about and not really caring about fandom much, I am BACK IN THE GAME, LOVELIES!
This week's theme is: What I'm watching right now!
We start off with Primeval which, sadly, has just finished its fourth season.
Why did I start watching it?
-To be brutally honest, I heard that Sid was going to be in it, so I sat down and watched it all in pretty much one go and waited patiently for the season he would be in. For a long while I watched it only to get a rough idea of the characters and smile at the ridiculously fake dinosaurs. I was SO into dinosaurs when I was a kid, so it was a bit like being a kid when they appeared on the screen, no matter how much they screamed "FAAAAAAAKE".
Why do I keep watching it?
- Well now Sid is in it and WOW! Even though it's a second rate show, he is giving it his all and he is really making me hate Phillip Burton and that's one hell of a job, considering how cow-eyed I go over Sid.
However, I did also come to like some of the characters. I liked Nick and his angsting, but I kinda knew he was doomed, so I never got attached too much. Connor is a cutie and thanks to the absolutely crappy scripts, I now hate Abby. I want her to go through an anomaly. With fire on the other side. And brimstone. And raptors. And poisonous air. And... anything that makes her like the dodos. DED! But at least I'm involved. I also really like Lester and Danny.
Who do I ship in it?
- This is a rare thing, but I don't really ship anyone. I just want Connor to find someone other than Abby. Anyone. I'd rather read Raptor/Connor guro/porn/vore/whatever squick you can think of than a schmoopy Abby/Connor. *shudder*
Should you watch it?
- Only if you like dinos. And don't mind half-baked plots and lousy special effects. Or cheese.
