Why did I start watching it?
-I don't actually remember. I suspect I just randomly stumbled over it back when I had a TV. I loved it from first glance. :o)
Why do I keep watching it?
- Because it's awesome, basically. Granted, the later seasons have not been as exciting as the earlier, but my love for the show is still strong. I love all the characters. I can't even think of a single person (on the current cast, that is) that I hate or even dislike! The plots are like any crime show, but it's high quality and stays that way through all seasons. I still greedily download every episode as soon as I possibly can and I think I may have to buy the dvds at some point. Just to have them with me. Also, I have bought a Bert The Farting Hippo. I'm a bit of a tinhat. Just a bit.
Who do I ship in it?
- Strangely, I'm not on any of the bandwagons with this one. So far, I mostly stick to the canon romances. Back in the day, I was all over Palmer/Lee, but only for their monkey-sex everywhere. No big love story. I was saddened to find that Ducky and Jordan never got anything on, really. I was SO hoping for Ducky!Romance. *sigh* However, I can easily see what the non-canon shippers are on about. There is PLENTY of subtext (and just plain text) to go around!
Should you watch it?
- If you like crime shows at all, yes. Especially if you enjoy a serious drama that is still happy to laugh at itself regularly. Also, the characters are all well-developed and if you're a shipper, this is like a all-you-can-eat buffet.
