Movie of the day: Clash of the Titans.
Good:
WOW! Where do I start!? I mean... WOW! Honestly, I didn't expect much of this film and mostly watched it for the blink-and-miss God!Sid. (Even the ridiculous hair could not help the flutter in my panties. Unf. The armor. Now where's that can-opener??) Aaaaaanyway. Lots more goodies in here than I expected. The music was great, the flow was beautiful and the sets which looked so cheezy in screencaps were clearly made for the big screen. I'm really quite sorry I didn't get to see this (especially the Olympos scenes) in a movie theatre. For once I regret not spending the cash on a movie ticket.
Other great things include the casting, the monsters, the costumes, the effects... Everything! I LOVE THIS MOVIE! I'm so glad I bought it! (Hey! It had Sid in it! Totally justified waste of money!)
Bad:
Details, mostly, to be quite honest. Hades' bad head-shave. Did they think the special effects glow would cover it up? Was it intentional? Either way, it got annoying fast once you noticed it.
Then there are the multitude of nationalities of the actors. To a native English speaker, I doubt it would be obvious, but to me as a Dane, some of the accents were really jarring. I shudder at my fellow Dane's pronounciations. Erk.
Medusa looked like she was modelled on Fiona from Shrek. Do I even need to explain why this is bad?
And finally, the Io/Perseus love-story seemed a little forced. Like they just had to put that in because... I dunno... it's part of the recipe for American made movies? *stick out tongue*
Final notes:
*puts it lovingly on my shelf*
Random pic: (No, NOT Sid... although... I might do a mini pic-spam of him from this movie later...)
Oh look! It's Danny Quinn! What the hell happened to you in that anomaly!?!?! Oh, wait... wrong fandom...
