My PC has been having a bit of a cough lately, showing me its inflamed blue screen a couple of times a day and telling me sternly it needed a doctor. I ignored it and yesterday, it showed me just how goddamn sick it was. We're talking major crash, people. *coughsputterrattleDEATH*
I could turn it on, but it couldn't get past the BIOS screens, telling me repeatedly that there was a system32 error and all attempts to coax it back to life with windows discs and whatnot failed spectacularly.
So, this morning I dropped off the tower of blue screen death to my usual go-to guy for computer problems and hopefully I'll hear some news in a day or two. until then, Sally the Netbook is back on duty. And holey moley, the sheer amount of updates she needed told me all too clearly that she felt seriously neglected.
Anyway. What this means is that my current projects are completely flushed. I was about half way done with another podfic, but now I'm not even sure it survived the crash. We'll have to wait and see.
In somewhat more positive news, I found some fic notes hidden in Sally's depths that have potential, so who knows, there might be fic in this. :o)
Keep those fingers crossed that my PC comes out of this in decent shape.
