This night I had the pleasure of watching:
Let He Who Is Without Sin...
Things Past
First episode with Garak in season 5! Wooo!
Let he who is without sin...:
*naughty grin* Oh, Dax is getting some. And even more fun is the fact that Worf gets hurt more than her. Mwahaha.
Jealous Worf. Aww. I can see his problem. Jadzia doesn't strike people as a very romantically comitted person at first glance.
Leeta... well, I used to think she was kinda cute, but in this episode she just made me gag over and over again. Eeek. And it might just be me, but gee, getting horny with half the Risan resort doesn't strike me as a very logical way of breaking up. And if you're on your way for a break up ceremony, would you cling to you soon-to-be ex like pink, sticky tape? I doubt that very much.
Quark! Yeah, he really knows how to enjoy himself. :o)
Arandids... ok, right. So supposedly she killed Curzon with sex. But that's odd, cause I could have sworn that you see at some point the moment where Jadzia got the symbiont and Curzon was on a surgical table right next to her and smiled at her before he died. Oh well, I'm sure they have some sort of neat explanation for that. It just bugs me.
Those 'essentialists' make me think a lot about Jehova's Witnesses. Coming to your door, giving out pamphlets and smiling in that way that clearly says: "I know something you don't... but you'll have to join to be let in on it!"
Also, the Fullerton dude keeps saying that this enemy or that will come to Risa and kill us all!! Ok, I see one problem with that statement. Risa has nothing of value in war. The only enemy of the federation who might go for Risa would be the Borg, because humanoids are the only thing abundant enough on Risa to make it interesting. They said themselves that Risa without 'a little help' is soggy, useless marshland. And apart from that, I find his arguments about the federation being children unable to take care of themselves offensive and stupid. Why exactly does he suppose these people need a vacation in the first place?? Because they see enough problems and suffering in their daily lives, that's bloody why! Can you tell I really dislike this guy? I guess this means that the producers did a great job with this episode if it gets me so flared up.
Back to Worf. Yay for insight into his restricted nature. I love it when we learn more about someone so closed off.
Skinny-dipping Jadzia and Worf. D'aaww. Makes me wanna write them a fic. :o) Can't blame Worf for 'forgetting' those horrible golden trunks, though.
Things Past:
Garak!! *iz happy*
"Giving me a name tag that read: 'Elim Garak - former cardassian opressor' was hardly polite!" ROFL!!
Musings on Garak's name btw... he never seemed to expect Bashir to find out his first name, since he lied so shamelessly about it during the wire and even Tain seemed not to be surprised that Garak would lie about it. So now suddenly everybody knows it? I find that a little strange.
I know it's probably just because I'm a G/B shipper, but I was frankly a bit disappointed that Bashir went to check on Odo and not Garak first when he and Worf entered the runabout. Bah. I suppose I could say it was to avoid suspicion of deeper feelings, but still. Bah.
Much love for Garak's hints of knowledge of the occupation and Terok Nor. Heheh. And even more love for his picking pocket! I always suspected he would know 'low key tricks' like that, as well as more obvious skills. "It's a hobby of mine." Oh Garak, how I love thee!
Quark seemed awfully comfortable during the occupation. But hey, he is a business man. I guess he doesn't really care who's in charge. And he would never object to cheap labor I guess.
Dukat seems more... toned down actually, compared to his blustering and strutting later on. Maybe he doesn't feel the need to prop himself up as much, while he is in such a steady seat of power. Either way, great stuff seeing him in his 'prime'.
Another 'huh' moment with Garak occurred when they all awake in the infirmary. Garak has stated before, quite truthfully, that every bajoran on the station looks at him with loathing and contempt. But the one bajoran nurse on hand chooses to help Garak instead of captain Sisko and she even smiles at him! I found that odd, frankly. I mean in her world Sisko is the emmisary and Garak is a monster! Gee, tough choice.
I dunno if I buy that weird 'great link' explanation, but I'll forgive the slightly unreal reasoning, just for seeing Garak with ruffled hair wearing bajoran civilian clothing. Hehe.

Date: 2009-02-23 03:23 am (UTC)I wondered about that too when I saw this, but then I thought that maybe Garak was simply paranoid about that, I mean he was a spy before and he may feel that everyone is against him.
Things past is an awesome episode though, one of my favourites from season five.
"Giving me a name tag that read: 'Elim Garak - former cardassian opressor' was hardly polite!" <3333333 Garak is so awesome!

Date: 2009-02-23 03:58 am (UTC)I see that you kindly decided not to comment on Bashir's "Richard Simmons" outfit in "Without Sin." Just as well. It really wasn't a good look for him.
Can't wait to read your next bunch!
