Being steamrolled.

Today I posted on fanficrants  and apparently my post was nothing short of a mortal sin. We're now in the 80's in number of comments and only about 5 of them have been remotely kind. The rest seem to find it extremely offensive that something I don't know a lot about annoys me. Heck I even asked for advice if anyone knew better than me!

I want to leave, since it's seriously bringing me down that so many people deliberately twist my words and try to make me look bad. But I hate to just leave without defending myself. I'm being stupid aren't I? I bet I'm just feeding their flaming frenzy by replying at all. I should really just leave and leave them to think I'm a stupid bitch. They already seem to think that anyway.

I'm an idiot.

Edit: Ok, I left. I suddenly remembered that it's not just me being affected by this. By stressing out over this, I'm affecting the Green Pea! And I will not allow that to happen to preserve my pride or whatever!

I took a look at it - really, WTF? Some people really deliberately misunderstand stuff. You don't dislike yaoi, FFS. You ASKED why everyone always has Japanese names. WTF. o_O And yes, I'd have left, too.

I'm SO glad you think so. I was really beginning to think I had stepped in it somehow. When enough mean people gang up on you, you end up thinking you're wrong, even when you're not. I need to remind myself that Just because they're pricks, doesn't mean I'm some kind of failure. Screw 'em.

And apparently "I don't know" is not a valid answer in there.

*hugs* Sure! I mean it's obvious that some of these people are simply looking for a fight. Asking questions about character names does not equal hatred of yaoi. Some people srsly need to get a grip. WTF. Or learn to understand what someone's actually saying.

You asked a simple question that was not meant to be a secret accusation of the yaoi genre in any way. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.
